How to Use Cardivas 3.125 Mg Tablet

Carvedilol Tablets IP comes as a tablet form and an extended-release (long-acting) capsule to consume by mouth. The Cardivas 3.125 mg tablet is usually consumed twice a day with food.

Dosage Of Cardivas 3.125 Mg:

• Oral-hypertension: Young people: initially, 12.5mg once every day increased to 25mg once daily after two days. Alternatively, the initial dose of 6.25 mg bid increased to 12.5 mg bid after one to two week, and increased further if necessary to 50mg once daily or in divide doses. Elderly: 12.5 mg once daily.
• Angina pectoris: adult initially, 12.5mg bid increased to 25mg bid after two days.
• Heart failure: adult initial 3.125 mg bid, doubled to 6.25 mg bid after two week if tolerated, then gradually increased to the max dose the patient can tolerate at intervals of not less than two week. Maximum dose: greater than 85kg: 50mg bid, less than 85kg: 25mg bid.

Left ventricular dysfunction post myocardial infarction adult: initially: 6.25mg bid, if tolerated, after 3 to 10 days, increase to 12.5mg bid and then to a target dose of 25mg bid.
